RN will plan and supervise the nursing care delivered to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients in our ten-bed behavioral Health Unit.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Thursday – Sunday Night

The purpose of this job is to plan and supervise the nursing care delivered to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients in the On Track Senior Behavioral Health Unit per all standards governing our facility. The RN maintains overall departmental operations in accordance with the facility’s mission and philosophy, participates in and maintains performance improvement activities to assure the highest standards of care, and provides an environment of patient-focused care, training new staff and providing leadership to our nursing team. The RN staff nurse will report to the Program Director and assist in clinical supervision.

  • Ensure continual delivery of high-quality nursing care.
  • Adopt and implement innovative nursing practices to improve our facility.
  • Maintain a healthy, collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • One Year of Geriatric nursing highly desirable, RN, BLS minimum requirement.

RN QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current RN License in the state
  • 2 plus years’ psych nursing experience preferred
  • Current ACLS preferred
