Behavioral health conditions affect the entire family. When appropriate, we encourage family members to participate in education and discharge planning so they can better understand their loved one's condition and provide support during recovery.
Planning for discharge begins early in each patient's stay.
Before leaving the hospital, every patient receives a personalized discharge plan. Patients are referred back to their primary care provider and, when appropriate, to an outpatient behavioral health provider or other community resources to support continued treatment and recovery.
Jenkins County Medical Center accepts Geriatric Behavioral Health referrals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through our Case Management team.
Hospital patient visits: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Behavioral Health visits require pre-approval to ensure patient safety and therapeutic care.
