Maintenance & Supply Assistant (FT)
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance & Supply Assistant to support our facility’s upkeep and supply management. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall condition of our building while maintaining an organized inventory of maintenance supplies.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining a safe and efficient facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Perform general repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing light fixtures, and patching walls.
- Assist with basic electrical tasks such as wiring, outlet replacement, and troubleshooting.
- Complete plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing pipes, and installing fixtures.
- Handle painting tasks, including surface preparation, priming, and finishing for interior and exterior projects.
- Maintain records of maintenance and repair work completed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and facility policies.
- Monitor, organize, and restock maintenance and supply inventory.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
- Availability to be on-call when the Director of Plant Operations/Purchasing Manager is unavailable.
